My name is Alanna and I am the oldest of 6 children--4 girls and 2 boys. I have been raised in a Godly home with a stay-at-home mom. (She would say that this is a misnomer, since she had to run us all over the place) I was home schooled all the way through high school and am now attending a community college to get my AA by spring. I am interested in meeting a man who is looking for a woman to share his life, as his best friend and partner. I am very traditional in the sense that I want to stay at home with any children that God may bless us with and home school them, while being the help-meet that God designed me to me. I feel that the most important 'profession' that I can have is that of a Proverbs 31 woman. I would love to work from my home, either with my husband in business, or on my own, but with his complete blessing. I enjoy reading, writing, movies and music...basically everything. I love all things Gaelic and would love to travel to Ireland someday. My Lord and Savior is the most important Person in my life, with my family running second. I enjoy playing board and card games, and am fairly competitive (runs in the family). I am a dreamer and a total romantic! I do want commitment before romance however. I am sometimes a total 'klutz'...and there is a better than 50% chance that you will either have to pick me up or catch me at some point. I have a great sense of humor, not easily offended, and can be very sarcastic and dry at times.

Well I don't date in a "normal" sense. What my family and I have chosen to do is follow a "deliberate dating system"--spending time together with the intent of marriage later. Basically, get to know me and my family by spending time with us...in person if you are close enough, or by IM, email, and eventually phone if not. I want to see if you are willing to "stick it out" for a few weeks and get to know me, or if you are just caught up in the moment. I want to know the "real" you and not the "trying to impress me" you. I really feel it is important to keep a tight guard over my heart.
